Signal Radar

Divergences, tensions, weak signals and outliers across data sources · Where the story gets interesting

What is the Radar?

The Radar automatically identifies unusual patterns in Sofia Pulse data. When job postings say one thing and papers say another, when Hacker News discourse diverges from the market, when a country hires where it does not research — these misalignments are where the best stories and least obvious risks live.

Divergences
When sources tell different stories
Tensions
Conflicting pressures across sectors
Weak Signals
Emerging patterns with low visibility
Outliers
Data that challenges the average

Methodological Note

Signal classification is heuristic: based on keywords, number of counter-signals and confidence level. Insights with confidence below 70% are automatically classified as weak signals. Insights with 2+ counter-signals are classified as tensions. Terms like "gap", "paradox" or "divergence" indicate misalignment between sources. Cross-validation with external sources is recommended before acting on weak signals.
